Why live merch works at Tampa events
At a Gasparilla party, a game-day tailgate or a pop-up at Sparkman Wharf, what you're buying is attention. People stop because something is being made in front of them. That stop turns into photos, a conversation and a reason to hang around your booth or bar.
What to print
- Tees: the default, printed from XS to 4XL on the spot.
- Caps and visors: worn in Tampa sun long after the event, built at the hat bar.
- Totes and tumblers: for show floors and waterfront days, from the promo station.
- Something stitched: embroidery for a VIP list.
How to plan the station
Start with the room: about 10×10 ft and two dedicated 120V/20A circuits per station, plus a line that stays clear of doors. Then match the station to the crowd. A booth at Tampa Convention Center needs speed, and a Hyde Park party needs a short menu of designs and a station that looks the part. For Tampa, book six to ten weeks out, since the gear ships from Fullerton.
Tampa planning
Live merch, Tampa conditions
Outdoors, the plan includes weighted tents for the bay wind and cover for the afternoon storms from June through September. Indoors, it's dock times, circuits and a place for the line.
We're a Fullerton crew, so for Tampa the gear crosses the country as freight and the printers land a day early to build. Each station takes roughly a 10×10 space on two dedicated 120V/20A circuits.
So decide what the merch has to do before you pick what it is. For a booth downtown, that's volume and a line people can see from the aisle. For a launch on Water Street, it's personal pieces people keep. Tell us which you're running and we'll size the station.
