Downtown is where most of Tampa's conference business lands. Tampa Convention Center sits on the water at the south edge of downtown, the Riverwalk runs past it, and the hotels around it fill up whenever a big show is in town. Up the river at the north end, the Straz Center hosts receptions and performances.
Downtown jobs tend to be the most scheduled ones we run. At the convention center our cases come in with the show's freight on a dock time and a drayage slot, and the station has to be printing when the hall opens.
What downtown events tend to book
- Live screen printing: one show graphic, printed fast enough to keep an aisle moving.
- Live DTF: attendee names, or a new design for each day of a conference.
- Promo & hard goods: totes that attendees carry around the hall all day.
- Live hat bar: caps for a sponsor reception or an after-party at a hotel near the Riverwalk.
Convention center electrical is ordered through the venue, so put two dedicated 120V/20A circuits per station on the order. Downtown hotel ballrooms are simpler, but during a show week their load-in windows are tight too.
A booth station needs roughly a 10×10 footprint. The standard two-press setup prints 100+ shirts an hour inside it.
Send the show name, your booth size and the move-in dates, and we'll send an itemized downtown quote within 24 hours.
